Khalid M. Saqr, Ph.D.

Dr. Saqr is a fluid dynamicist with 15+ years experience in CFD and turbulence modeling. He led CFD simulation projects to study turbulent/jet combustion systems, building aerodynamics, thermal equipment, wind and marine turbine aerodynamics, and vascular blood flow. In the last five years, he has published more than 25 papers in leading journals in fluid mechanics and turbulence and secured $750K in research funding. He has conducted research and supervised postgraduate theses in top universities in Europe, Asia and Africa. At AASTMT, Dr. Saqr teaches undergraduate and postgraduate fluid mechanics courses. In the last five years, Dr. Saqr co-supervised 8 M.Sc and 3 Ph.D. thesis on fluid dynamics and CFD at AASTMT’s College of Engineering and Technology.
